Passion and commitment to the vine have been the first and unconditional tenet for all generations of the Štampar family. They started out with only 3,000 vines of a single variety, an old Croatian oak press made in 1927, and scarcely a few worn barrels in a small cellar. Today, in a constant pursuit for perfection in a blend of tradition, know-how and innovation, the Štampar family offers exceptionally high-quality and acclaimed wines.
Under the same sun, on a small geographic area, on the border separating Croatia and Slovenia, the hills of Međimurje and the vineyards of Ljutomer-Jeruzalem meet. It is here, 300 m above sea level, far away from any roads and urban vibrations, in a unique harmony with nature, stretching over the surface area of approximately 10 ha, that the best vineyards (rolling hills of Sveti Urban and Krpec in Robadje) of the Štampar family are grown.
An aromatic, light and lively wine. Light and pale with greenish-yellow hue. Beautiful aromas of gooseberry and lime are dominant, followed by somewhat milder tinges of green bell pepper and flowery tones such as gentle nuances of elderberry flower. The taste has a dry, seductive freshness, with very mild hints of residual unfermented sugar, gently accentuated acidity, medium body and long afterteaste.
