Domaine Corsin has established an excellent reputation for making wines in Saint Veran and Pouilly-Fuissé since 1864, with only two hectares of Chardonnay in the beginning. Today, the domaine, now in its fifth generation, owns 13.6 hectares of Chardonnay in the Mâconnais and passionately perpetuates the family tradition.
The vineyards have a north-easterly exposure, the Chardonnay vines for the Mâcon-Villages are rooted in clay-limestone soils at an altitude between 200 and 280 metres, around the villages of Davayé and Solutré. The plot where the grapes come from, Les Prés Cousins, is one of the oldest cultivated plots in the area.
The Corsin family has always been one of the highest quality producers in the south of Burgundy. It would not be a stretch to say that their wines set a benchmark that others measure themselves by.Dodatne informacije (PDF)
