At Istrian peninsula, small place Radovani in the surrounding of Višnjan is the home of characteristic and old traditional houses with high stone walls and powerful iron gates which dates far back in history and have the purpose to save the animals within the estate from thieves. Radovani is close to the Adriatic sea, on the Istrian characteristic soil terra rossa, surrounded by vineyards, fields, and oak woods. At the meadows surrounding the vineyards, you can find medicinal plants and Istrian traditional delicacy plant asparagus.
Although genetically completely different, Refošk is widely seen as a more approachable version of the wild nature of Teran. With intensive Rubi-red color, this fruity Refošk discovers the notes of fruit berries, baked plums, dark chocolate, and licorice. On the palate, it is dry, with balanced acidity and smooth and ripe tannins.
