Wine legacy of family Legović dates back to 1937. Since then, 4 generations have changed in producing best Istrian wines on Istrian red soil (terra rosa) within their 12 ha of vineyards. In the western part of Istria, near picturesque Kaštelir one can find Mekiši, genuine traditional Istrian stantias which is the home of family Legović. Vineyards are placed at 220 – 250 m above sea level at red Istrian soil terra rosa which is rich in bauxite and iron. These components attribute to wines minerality. This essence of climate is truly transfused to Legovina wines.
Solely in exceptional vintages, after strict selection of best bunches from old vines, the brand Nobile is produced. Vintage 2009 has only 2.600 bottles which age in the cellar for 7 additional years before launching to market. This terroir wine has both, elegance and vibrant energy. It states Bordeaux pedigree with Istrian signature. The harmony of fullness, fruitiness, balsamic touch and stone minerality is pervaded in this wine.
